As I was walking to the office last week, I heard a voice behind me mention Subversion. My ears instantly tuned in to what turned out to be a couple of college students talking about how they should version control the development projects they were currently working on. Not being the type of guy to miss an opportunity, I introduced myself and told them about myVersionControl.com.
To cut a long story short, I told them I would discuss with Martin the concept of offering a myVersionControl hosting account free to all students. The thought was that most students would go on to work in commercial development and ultimately purchase a full subscription.
The outcome of all of this is that we are proud to be able to offer to everyone a free and fully featured subversion hosting account. All the features of the pay accounts are available, the only caveat being that you are restricted to a total file size of 4mb.
